I’m Katherine, and I’ve been with Hogan Group since 2002. I started in the Bangor weighbridge, where I ran the concrete planning desk, before moving into leading the sales team to the role I have now in the HR Training team.
I’ve grown alongside the business, and I genuinely care about creating a supportive, positive environment for everyone who works here.
My role is all about people. I organise training programmes and manage inductions to help new starters feel welcome and confident from day one. I also keep our HR policies up to date, support employee wellbeing initiatives, and assist with recruitment and employee relations. No two days are ever quite the same, which is something I really enjoy.
What matters most to me is ensuring our team feels valued, supported, and equipped to succeed. I believe that when people feel looked after, they can do their best work and everyone benefits.
Outside of work, I like to stay active by going to the gym and making time for my own well-being. I also enjoy spending quality time with family and friends, which helps me stay grounded and balanced.
A little-known fact about me is that I’ve completed a Level 2 qualification in hairdressing, a skill that has come in handy more than once!
