I’m Kevin Hogan, Managing Director of the Hogan Group. Our family-owned business operates in construction materials across North Wales and the North West of England, and in highway maintenance across North East and West Wales.
I started my career at 16, building an understanding of the business from the ground up – literally. From batching asphalt and ready-mix concrete to surfacing private works and highway projects, I learned first-hand the Hogan Group’s DNA and what it takes to deliver quality work in all conditions.
As children, we would go out with our father and uncles to evaluate and estimate all manner of jobs. These were our main family outings, and those early experiences shaped how I saw the business and our responsibility to the communities we serve.
My father believed, as all the founding Hogan brothers did, that we needed to earn our place in the business. I therefore worked across many departments, from production through to sales, learning each aspect of the operation and the ethos that still drives us today.
In 2010, I progressed from sales management into a wider Group leadership role, working with a new management team overseeing our aggregates, asphalt and concrete businesses, alongside a strong leadership team managing our construction operations.
Today, I work with the Board and management team to lead a fully integrated group that quarries and processes aggregates, manufactures asphalt and ready-mix concrete, and delivers highway surfacing and civil engineering projects across North Wales and beyond.
We operate to rigorous quality, environmental and safety standards, working to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 within an integrated management system.
My focus is on investing in our people, plant and processes so that we continue to deliver reliable, sustainable solutions from quarry to finished road for the next generation. I am also committed to helping create a better future for our communities and young people.
I’m passionate about what we do, the positive impact we can make, and continuing to build on the foundations set by four brothers 60 years ago.
